Capital City of Podgorica announces the results of the international competition for the conceptual design of the Zabjelo Community Centre in Podgorica.
The competition was conducted as an international, open, single-stage and anonymous competition for a conceptual architectural design. Its objective was to provide, through an open and professional procedure, a high-quality basis for the development of a contemporary community centre in one of Podgorica’s fastest-growing urban neighbourhoods, bringing together healthcare, administrative, cultural, educational, social and accompanying facilities.
Following the review and evaluation process, as well as the extended competition phase involving six selected entries, the Jury reached its final decision on the award of prizes, purchase awards and a special commendation.
The First Prize, in the amount of €35,000.00, was awarded to the entry under the code MLA2248. The authors are Arnel Smajlović and Enna Hadžić Smajlović from Bosnia and Herzegovina.
The Second Prize, in the amount of €20,000.00, was awarded to the entry under the code SHARED GROUND. The author team consists of Maria Emilia Darricades, Juan Ignacio Miñones and Fernando Nicolas Sabando from Argentina.
The Third Prize, in the amount of €12,000.00, was awarded to the entry under the code 13041. The author is Alejandro Cuadro from Uruguay, with associates Romina Castro, Pedro Calzavara, Lucia Ferrari, Eloisa Estavillo and Romina Mangini.
Equal purchase awards, in the amount of €3,000.00 each, were awarded to the following entries:
08032 — author team: Verica Krstić, Miodrag Grbić, Vera Petronijević and Stanislav Paunović from Serbia;
31708 — author team: Marija Krsmanović and Milena Kordić, with associates Miona Bradić, Nikolina Jovanović and Siddharth Jha from Serbia;
45682 — author team TAKTIKA, Stefan Đorđević and Dalia Dukanac, with associates Anja Marić, Jelena Marić and Mina Sofronijević from Serbia.
The Jury also awarded a Special Commendation to the entry under the code MTAZX, authored by Mikael Tristan Aristo from Indonesia, for its exceptional originality in design approach and response to the given topic.
