The Capital City of Podgorica announces the Competition for the Conceptual Design for the Revitalization of the “Gorica Forest Park” Natural Monument in Podgorica.
The subject of the competition is the development of a conceptual landscape and architectural design proposal for the revitalization of the area of the “Gorica Forest Park” Natural Monument in Podgorica. The conceptual design should provide a comprehensive vision for the development, arrangement and use of the forest park, serving as a basis for detailed design development through main design documentation and phased implementation.
The competition is international, open, single-stage and anonymous.
The conceptual design should be based on the integration of three interconnected thematic areas — Nature, People and Heritage — which form the main design pillars of the project. Participants are expected to propose a solution that will contribute to the restoration and enhancement of Gorica’s ecosystem, strengthen its role within Podgorica’s green infrastructure system, support the development of a safe, accessible and inclusive space for citizens and visitors, and preserve the cultural, historical and environmental values of the area.

The competition entries will be evaluated by the following jury:
- Dr Svetlana Perović, architect, professional jury member;
- Nebojša Kovačević, landscape architect, professional jury member;
- Vuk Marković, landscape architect, professional jury member;
- Boris Radić, landscape architect, professional jury member;
- Vedran Pedišić, architect, professional jury member;
- Gavrilo Vuković, architect, representative of the Competition Organizer;
- Duška Mačić, architect, representative of the Competition Organizer.
Deadlines:
- The competition opens on 22 June 2026;
- The deadline for submitting questions is 28 July 2026;
- Answers to submitted questions will be published by 7 August 2026;
- The deadline for submitting competition entries is 12 October 2026 by 10:00h (UTC+2);
- Participants will be informed of the jury’s decision no later than 6 November 2026.

Prize fund:
The Jury will award the first, second and third prizes, as well as three purchase awards, in the following amounts:
- I Prize – EUR 30,000.00;
- II Prize – EUR 18,500.00;
- III Prize – EUR 12,000.00;
- three purchase awards – EUR 4,500.00 each.
Eligibility:
The right to participate in the competition is granted to natural and legal persons who meet the conditions defined by the Competition Announcement and the Competition Task. At least one member of the author team must hold a license as an authorized architect for design services, while at least one member of the author team must hold a degree in landscape architecture.
